Shopping for bridesmaid jewellery, like the dresses that must tandem with or complement the features of the wearer, is no small matter. But this doesn't mean you should get the heftier priced jewellery for a bridesmaid in your wedding. Expensive doesn't always translate into looking good. Here are some notes to keep in mind when buying jewellery for bridesmaids.
· Try to get the neckline of the dress and the jewellery to match. For high a neckline dress, go for something short, like a choker-style necklace. Naturally, if you've ordered scoop neck or a bigger neckline on your bridesmaids' dresses, you'll need a necklace or neckpiece, which could be of any length. For a halter dress, better not go for a necklace, since they don't match. Now, a lower neckline could be complemented with drop style wedding earrings; a higher neckline could go with smaller earrings. As for wedding bracelets, which have nothing to do with the neckline of the dress, just remember not to order bracelets with a long sleeved dress.
· Consider buying diamond jewellery. Bridesmaid jewelry could also your gifts to your bridesmaids. While this is nice, try to keep their jewellery low-key compared to yours. This will keep them within budget and not steal attention from you on your wedding altar. Diamond stud earrings rather than rings can serve this purpose, and remain elegant-looking. Just be sure about the credibility and authenticity of the diamonds.
· Choose the color carefully. Go for subtlety, and for a uniform color. If you're planning on some other color for the bridesmaids decor, try to make that color adequately contrasting, but in a soft sense.
The overall wedding planning should include careful thought about the bridesmaid jewellery. You'd do well to talk to your bridesmaids about the decor you plan for them.
