We’ve had such a busy couple of weeks at Chez Bec HQ. There’s been new collections to design, new offices to finish decorating, new boxes to design, a fabulous competition to run, the relaunch of our bespoke service…. oh, and the flurry of orders (for flurry read deluge!) that signals the onset of wedding season.

The thing about us is that we love our job. And however many hours we work (which is a lot!), we would never stop: it’s our job to make every one of our brides make sure their bridal jewellery and accessories are, well, perfect for their wedding day. Because frankly, only perfect will do.

We wanted to treat you to a little post showing you a snippet of the beautiful pictures that have come in over the last few weeks. An emphatic thank you to everyone who sends us their images, we adore seeing you wearing our sparkles. It makes us smile. A lot.

Here at Chez Bec HQ we were mulling over doing a little giveaway this Bank Holiday weekend (it’s the sunshine, it makes us come over all generous). But then we had a thought: why just give away a pair of beautiful bridal earrings (even if they are super sparkly and lovely). What is it we do? Who do we want to help?

And then, over a post 6pm G&T, we had a brainwave (even if we do say so ourselves).

We are currently in the process of designing our 2014 collection. We are also busy working away on the Bespoke side of the business again. We want to do a giveaway. Let’s do them ALL at once….

Read on… it will become clear what sunshine and G&T do to us inspiration wise!

Soooooo, our competition is this: To win a bespoke bridal accessory design worth up to £100 – this design will go on to form part of our 2014 collection AND be named after you!

To give you an idea of what £100 worth of bespoke Chez Bec design will get you, it could be a wedding hair comb, a single sparkly headband. Maybe a small hair comb with matching bridal hair pins. A pair of bridal earrings and matching pendant. A statement necklace. A cuff bracelet… you know what we do, you know our style. Tell us what YOU want. (Oh, and as standard, it will be presented in a beautiful gift box too with lashings of tissue paper.)

This is a prize we are ridiculously excited to be offering. And we can’t wait to consult with the winner about what we can do for them. And remember, even if you don’t want a sparkly bespoke piece yourself, you can give it as a gift!

So how do you enter this amazing competition? Well it’s simple. You need to visit our facebook page and Like us https://www.facebook.com/ChezBec (and if you already do Like us, you’re halfway there). So far so easy. You then need to drop us a quick email at info@chezbec.com with May Competition in the subject field. All we need from you is your name and a contact number, but feel free to give us a bit more information as to why you should win if you like.

All names that Like and send us an email will then be entered into the draw and drawn at random. The winner will be announced via Facebook and Twitter (and be sent an email too, and, knowing our general incapacity to not be excitable, almost certainly a quick phone call) on Monday, May 20th at 6pm.

The closing date for this competition is midnight on Sunday May 19th to give you time to spread the word. Any brides/mother of the brides/bridesmaids you know, send them our way.

We especially love the fact that she wore a comb in the back of her hair so that her guests had something sparkly to look at while she took her vows! And our beautiful Emily headband completed the look from the front.

Bespoke is Bec…

We are extremely excited to announce that Chez Bec is bringing bespoke back.

Our years of experience tell us that Brides love our jewellery and hair accessories: but it also tells us that for every bride who finds exactly what they are looking for on our beautiful online boutique, there will be one who doesn’t. And that’s just not good enough. We want every single one of you to find the accessories of their dreams in our range, and if you can’t, well then we’ll jolly well design and make it from scratch just for you.

Because we handcraft almost all of our jewellery and hair accessory range to order in our (new!) studio in Kent, we can make any change we like. The small, like chain length, crystal colour, or headband colour (and we’ve been doing this for years), but, actually we can do the big changes too. You like that but you want detail all around the chain? Done. Love the look of that but actually wanted three rows of pearls instead of two? Look no further. However, if you can’t see what you want at all, and you want us to draw you a sketch and commission something completely unique? Well we just love that. We can even incorporate sentimental pieces of family jewellery into something new for you: we’ve made a bridal choker into a hair vine, an old collar clip into a comb, odd and broken earrings into a reworked beauty of a headband. There’s not much that we can’t do.

What’s more, our promise is that the prices we charge for our bespoke service will be in line with what is already on the website: no one should find what they want and THEN discover that it’s out of their price range, so our promise to you is for no nasty surprises.
