So, over the past few months we’ve been in the irritating habit of talking about ‘exciting announcements’ and ‘sneak peeks’ and all that jazz. And, candidly, we know how annoying those ‘we know something you don’t know’ kind of tweets and updates can be (but we still did them, sorry about that).
But today is the day that we can let you in on our little secret, and, importantly, let you know the direct benefits it brings to you, the Chez Bec customer. Good eh?
We’re really excited to announce that Harriet Rouse, who’s been designing and making for and with Chez Bec since day one (with a brief sojourn in the middle where she popped out two children) is now a business partner to Chez Bec and will be in charge of most of the day to day running of the business. How exciting. Well, exciting for her, and probably a little daunting for the lovely Rebecca who’s had her hands on the reigns firmly all these years and now has to hand them over (we’ve been practicing and ironing out the details this past six months so she’s getting used to it!). But how does this make any difference whatsoever to you?
Well Harriet likes to be busy. Harriet likes to spend her days in the Chez Bec studio making things, and what Harriet loves most of all is going to the Post office on a daily basis (no really, she does. Her post office sells Chuppa Chup lollies of which she’s always been a fan and has now developed a need for her daily fix. For the record, Strawberries and Cream are her favourite). And this is where things get good… it means that, despite nearly all our designs being made to order from scratch, we can now offer next day delivery through our website. Not only that, our standard dispatch times have gone down from 1-week to 3-5 working days. Good eh?
All orders over £50 will be sent out free within 3-5 days but if you place an order before midday Monday – Friday using our express delivery service it will be sent out next day (there is a charge of £7.95 for this service and all items are sent out using Special Delivery which will be delivered the next working day before 1pm).
So that’s the exciting news that we’ve been keeping you guessing about. And what it fundamentally means is that you get your sparkles quicker than ever before but with all the love, attention, and customer service that we’ve always given. Here’s to the future.
