Choosing
1. Decide on your wedding hair style before buying your wedding hair accessories.
This may sound rather obvious but you would be surprised at the number of brides buy a bridal hair accessory without any thought as to how it will work in their wedding hair. Our Sally Hair Comb looks sensational in a chic chignon or tucked into the back of an elegant up-do but it won’t work if you have thin hair and are planning to wear your hair down for your special day! Equally don’t choose our Fleur Pearl Hair Pins if you have nothing to tuck them into! Bridal headbands are a pretty safe option for an up-do or a down-do and you can’t go wrong with either our bestselling Vanessa II Headband or our Sienna I Headband.
2. Think about your wedding jewellery.
What bridal jewellery are you intending to wear on your big day? If you’re after a classic, elegant bridal style then you don’t want to go overboard with the bling. A statement bridal headband such as our Melody Headband can be plenty to make you shine as a bride, without the need for oodles of sparkling jewellery. On the other hand, if you already have a statement necklace or dazzling chandelier drop earrings to wear, then it would be advisable to opt for a more simple hair accessory such as our beautifully delicate Florence Hair Comb. It is so often the case that less is more and you really don’t need to over-gild the lily. Your wedding hair accessories need to work with your wedding jewellery so think about your wedding look as a whole rather than as individual components.
3. Work with your hair colour.
If you are a brunette bride then pearls, with or without a hint or sparkle, will work incredibly well in your hair and will complement the darker hair tones to create an eye-catching look. Whether integrated into a bridal hair comb, a wedding headband, or bridal hair pins, even the most delicate piece will look just gorgeous on a brunette.
Fair-haired brides also have a range of wedding hair accessory options available to create an exquisite look. If choosing pearls though, then just be careful that they do not get lost in the hair. A chic pearl and crystal combination can often be best for blonde brides. If choosing hair pins then go for several sets worn together or choose a wider bridal headband to create a real impact in your luscious locks.
