I’m always fond of a bit of Blog based distraction, I mean *research* when I’m working.
I always find myself drawn in particular to the personal Blog posts – there are some great ones out there at the moment, I loved the one by Miss
I find myself at the start of the school holidays, with six long weeks stretching out in front of me. There’s still plenty of sparkles to make, with orders flooding in in what it our peak wedding jewellery season. This week I have been mostly making pins. And more hair pins! So versatile and pretty…
Before I had children AND a business, I used to plan things out, we would have clubs once or twice a week, and I would get to spend time with the kids. We’d drive each other mad, naturally, that is their (and my) job, but there was tangible quality to the long buy flagyl cream online weeks that stretched out in front of us.
Inexplicably giving their levels of UTTER EXHAUSTION after three terms of school, they are up with the sun this last two days, and I find myself giving them breakfast as I run to the studio to reply to emails and to make jewellery, package jewellery, and then try and get everything done. Which is no mean feat (and clearly involves a lot of evening and weekend working!). Next week they are booked in to this ballet club thing Monday to Friday, and I find it bittersweet. That that is another week gone where they will grow, and I will be too busy to see it.
However, I may not have the quantity of time to give them this Summer Holiday, but we are packing in the quality, with a weekend at Latitude already under our belts, a family holiday to Canada (please note, our studio will be closed from the 12th August for two weeks, so get your orders in NOW if you need your wedding jewellery or hair accessories before then).
So, after a little bit of meandering I’ve realised that while working full time and having children has it’s challenges, I need to cram in the quality moments…. Now are there any Mamma Mia matinee tickets available…. *selfless me*.
