City lawyer launches jewellery business.

An assistant at Linklaters has jumped ship and launched an online jewellers.

Rebecca Doyle left the firm last Christmas to set up her own business, and has just launched her site, chezbec.com. It sells contemporary designer jewellery sourced from around the world and, as Rebecca explained to the RollOnFriday Fashion Editor, things are generally pink and gorgeous and the packaging is to die for.

Rebecca says that work/life balance as a one year qualified corporate lawyer simply “didn’t exist”, and she made the decision to pack in the day job when she found herself on a beach in Antigua with a Blackberry in one hand and a mobile in the other.
