For us at Chez Bec every collection starts with a statement look: that drop dead gorgeous piece from which everything else can evolve. And we start the designing and making process and the selection of beads a long time before you see the finished pieces! Last autumn, we’ll admit we got a little bit into our Downton Abbey: the roaring fires, (the fashion), the opulence, (the fashion), the lovely Matthew, (the fashion)…. and we created the Lady Mary tiara. It was inspired by the weddings of the series, and it was lovely to make a full headband having spent a lot of the last few years making side tiaras. The side headpieces are here to stay of course, but with the Lady Mary tiara as our starting point our design team began sketching and working out what we wanted to bring to you in 2014. There was a lot of time spent looking at the Cartier archives (which gave us all kind of diamond envy!), a quick trip or two to the V&A, some serious bead shopping, and it all led us to a collection we couldn’t be prouder of.
But of course, no Chez Bec range would be complete without our signature order flagyl cheap pearls! Throughout the summer we spent far too much time on Pinterest, and developed a massive crush on all things floral, in particular baby’s breath and the beautiful unstructured simplicity that it has, especially when en masse: the impact is breath-taking. And it was meadows and a proper English summer (at last!) that inspired our Flora range. Simple sprays of top quality pearls, clusters of shimmering crystals, and just a pinch of hand crafted silk flowers, which can be seen in our Flora headband. We adore the unstructured look that the range offers, and the flexibility from the vine that can be manipulated and trained to suit any hair style as well as simple pins that work beautifully alone or in a cluster. We made a beautiful cuff, necklace and earring set to accompany the look, but of course, because we hand make almost every piece to scratch from the same selection of beads, you can mix and match as you please because all the pieces go together. And that’s what we love. That every bride can create the look that they want by picking the pieces of our collections that they want to see together.
